Ola is a Spanish feminine noun meaning “wave”. We believe a wave is an accurate visual representation of the new hire lifecycle within financial services organizations. Like waves, new hire programs are different in shape and size depending on the environment and needs of the business. The more predictable a new hire program is, the more efficient and lean the organization operates. Most firms struggle to identify the gaps in their existing programs or how to overcome them, leading to exorbitant annual costs.

Carolyne started her career at People’s United Bank becoming a RIA and an AVP Customer Service Manager. After a decade in financial services, she decided to shift her attention to academia. Carolyne’s pedagogical focus includes evaluating effective teaching methods across modalities, using applied research in the field of finance to enhance student learning, and ensuring equity through curriculum innovations.
